The Fine Art of
John C. Pitcher and Sue Westin

Nationally acclaimed artists John C. Pitcher and Sue Westin are a husband and wife team who operate their studios and Gallery On The Marsh in the beautiful historic village of Dorset, Vermont.

Pitcher is a naturalist who paints wildlife with a special interest in birds. His paintings are in the permanent collections of the Anchorage Museum of History and Art, The University of Alaska Museum, The Bennington Center for the Natural and Cultural Arts, and the Hiram Blauvelt Art Museum. Both John and Sue are honored members of the Society of Animal Artists.

Westin is a versatile artist. She has worked in stone, watercolor and oil. Although widely recognized for her paintings of buffalo and shorebirds, Westin enjoys painting a large range of subjects, which in recent years has included portraits of people and domestic animals. Her works have been exhibited in Canada, Japan, Sweden, Germany and Kenya and can be found in the permanent collections of The Bennington Center for the Natural and Cultural Arts, the Leigh Yawkey Woodson Art Museum and the Worrell Collection.
